Activation with Clackamas County Disaster Management (CCDM)
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Purpose
This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) establishes a coordinated response during incidents to ensure the health and safety of the Clackamas County community and streamline information sharing and response coordination across multiple agencies.
Scope
The actions covered in this SOP attempt to address response and coordination activities during an incident in which Clackamas County requests the activation of the CCVOAD.
Activation Actions
Upon request from CCDM to activate, and with approval by the CCVOAD Executive Director or designee, the CCVOAD will complete the following procedure:
- CCVOAD Disaster Coordinator or designee will notify the CCVOAD Board of Directors of activation and will respond to the Clackamas County Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
- CCVOAD Disaster Coordinator will schedule and host a Partners Coordination Call.
- Typical Partner Coordination Call Agenda:
- Incident Update
- Unmet Needs Committee Update
- Volunteer Committee Update
- Fundraising and Donations Committee Update
- Partner Resource/Response Availability
- Partner Needs and Reported Needs from Community
- Sharing confirmed information
- Sharing resources and needs
- Other incident specific items
- CCVOAD will determine if any committee needs to be established or activated. If yes, partner agencies will be asked to join based on their availability or resources.
- CCVOAD will continue communication internally and externally via website, social media, email, and other relevant platforms.
