February 2026 CCVOAD Partner Update: Monthly Meeting, Trainings, and Regional Recovery Events
CCVOAD (Clackamas County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) is kicking off February 2026 with opportunities for partners to connect, learn, and strengthen community resilience across Clackamas County and the wider region. This update highlights our Monthly Partner’s Meeting, local preparedness trainings, and key regional disaster recovery events.
February CCVOAD Monthly Partner’s Meeting
Join us for the CCVOAD Monthly Partner’s Meeting on Thursday, February 26 at 11:30 AM (Teams). This virtual meeting is a chance for nonprofits, faith communities, public agencies, and community groups to coordinate around ongoing disaster recovery and preparedness.
On the agenda:
- Atmospheric River Update – Recap of the December flooding events in Clackamas County and the status of long-term recovery
- ORVOAD Update – The latest statewide insights and coordination efforts from Oregon Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster
- Partner Roundtable – Space for partners to share updates, resources, and emerging needs from their organizations and communities

Partner Event: “Be 2 Weeks Ready” Emergency Preparedness Training
CCVOAD and Prince of Life Lutheran Church are partnering to offer a free Be 2 Weeks Ready emergency training designed to help households better prepare for disasters. This workshop focuses on practical skills so families can sustain themselves for at least two weeks following an emergency.
Event highlights:
- Free Training – Hands-on emergency preparedness skills, including how to build essential supply kits and create a household disaster plan
- Free Gear – All participants receive an emergency medical go-bag to jump-start their readiness
- Impact Policy – Participants complete a brief survey for the Plan for a Resilient Oregon, helping shape statewide disaster funding and priorities

Northwest Disaster Recovery Roundtable: April 24–25, 2026
CCVOAD is also uplifting regional opportunities to learn and collaborate around long-term recovery. The Northwest Disaster Recovery Roundtable brings together organizations, practitioners, and partners engaged in long-term disaster recovery across the Pacific Northwest.

- Dates: April 24–25, 2026
- Location: Pathway Church Gresham, 3848 NE Division St, Gresham, OR
- Cost: $40 per person, including the banquet
This two-day event offers:
- Training sessions on long-term recovery best practices
- Opportunities for coordination and shared learning
- Space to strengthen cross-sector collaboration among VOADs, nonprofits, faith communities, and public partners

Faith Leaders Resilience Focus Group: Central Oregon
Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon (EMO), in partnership with the Oregon Governor’s Office, is convening a Resilience Focus Group for faith leaders to ensure faith community perspectives are included in the development of the Plan for a Resilient Oregon (PRO).

- Date: Friday, March 20, 2026
- Time: 10:00–11:30 a.m.
- Location: Bend United Methodist Church
Faith leaders will have the chance to share insights on community needs, disaster readiness, and resilience priorities. Participants receive a small incentive for their time, and space is limited, so early sharing and registration are encouraged.
