As we reflect on the year behind us, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the funders,
partners, volunteers, and community members who have made a meaningful impact through CCVOAD this
year. Your generosity, collaboration, and commitment to caring for our neighbors have strengthened
our collective ability to respond, recover, and build resilience across Clackamas County.
Because of you, families received support during times of crisis, organizations worked together
more effectively, and our community was better prepared to face challenges—both expected and
unexpected. This work is only possible through strong partnerships and shared purpose, and we are

Supporting Recovery: Rowena Wildfire Response
CCVOAD continues to support ORVOAD’s coordinated recovery response to the Rowena Wildfire, working
closely with partner organizations and the Rowena Long-Term Recovery Group through ongoing
collaboration and information sharing. CCVOAD also provided direct financial support to enable
coordinated recovery efforts led by Barb Edwards, Disaster Management Coordinator, working
alongside the Rowena Long-Term Recovery Group to advance rebuilding and address unmet community
needs.
In addition, CCVOAD’s Executive Director, Pat Olsen, led fundraising efforts for ORVOAD, helping
contribute to nearly $300,000 raised in supplies and donations to jump start wildfire recovery and
long-term assistance for impacted individuals and families.
Disaster recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. We remain committed to standing alongside affected
communities as needs evolve and are grateful for the strong partnership and coordination among
VOAD members across the state that make this work possible.
Community Engagement & Neighborhood Connections
CCVOAD has been actively engaging with local communities by attending neighborhood and civic
meetings, including:
- Citizen Involvement Committee (CIC) – Oregon City
- Gaffney Lane Neighborhood Association – Oregon City
These meetings provide valuable opportunities to listen, share information about disaster
preparedness and recovery, and strengthen relationships at the neighborhood level. We’re grateful
for the chance to connect directly with residents and local leaders and look forward to continued
engagement across Clackamas County.
